34th Session of the Islamic Conference of Foreign Ministers

to be held on 15-17 May, in Islamabad, Pakistan


The agenda, on the other hand, will include issues facing the Muslim world, particularly in the political context, including the question of Palestine, the Arab ? Israeli conflict, the situation in Iraq, Somalia and Afghanistan, the conflict in Jammu and Kashmir, the peace process between India and Pakistan and the cooperation of the Islamic Republic of Iran with the International Atomic Energy Agency.

The Conference will also discuss the situation of Muslim minorities and communities in non-OIC Member States, particularly in Southern Philippines and the Kingdom of Thailand.

The Conference will also be concerned with economic issues and cooperation among Member States, in the areas of science and technology, advancing the role of information, the issues of health and environment, cultural and social affairs, and the OIC universities. It will also deal with the activities of subsidiary organs and institutions affiliated to the Organization. The conference will also adopt the budgets of the General Secretariat and the subsidiary organs.
